The Red Square
The Red Square is located in the center of Moscow, near the Kremlin.
It is a major square of Moscow. The Red Square was built as main
marketplace of Moscow and the site of various public ceremonies. There
are many historical sites near the Red Square like Lenin's Mausoleum,
Kremlin towers, Saint Basil's Cathedral, etc. The Red Square with
Kremlin together is UNESCO World Heritage Site. The GUM department
store, the one of largest mall of Moscow, is located on the eastern side
of the Red Square. You can find there many shops, restaurants and
cafes.
The Cathedral of Vasily
The Cathedral of Vasily the Blessed is usually called Saint Basil's
Cathedral. The church is located in Red Square in Moscow. Saint Basil's
Cathedral was built in 1561 on orders from Ivan the Terrible. The design
of the building has no analogues in Russian architecture. Nowadays
there is a museum in Saint Basil's Cathedral. It is UNESCO World
Heritage Site. The museum is open from 10.00 a.m. to 07.00 p.m. The
tickets cost 150 RUB
