Kuwait

Kuwait is officially called the State of Kuwait. It is an independent country in Western Asia. Kuwait is located in the north-east corner of the Arabian Peninsula at the tip of the Persian Gulf. The country is bordered by Iraq to the north and north-west, and Saudi Arabia to the south and south-west. Kuwait is washed by the Persian Gulf to the east. Kuwait is a constitutional monarchy. The country has a high income economy backed by the one of the largest oil reserves in the world. The Kuwaiti dinar is the highest valued currency in the world. The country has one of the highest Human Development Index in the Arab world. Kuwait is one of the smallest countries in the world in terms of land area. Most of the country is covered by the flat, sandy Arabian Desert. Kuwait has nine islands, eight of them are uninhabited. The largest island of the country, Bubiyan, is connected to the rest of Kuwait by a long bridge. Kuwait City is the capital and largest city of the country. It is located on Kuwait Bay, a natural deep-water harbor
