The Plaza de Armas
The Plaza de Armas is situated in Old Havana, Cuba. It is a one of
most beautiful places in the city. The Plaza de Armas was conceived and
laid out in 1519, making it almost as old as the city itself. It was
from the plaza that the city grew, and it truly is the historical heart
of Havana. Around the Plaza de Armas are some of the nicest Old Havana
colonial buildings. There are many restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops
near the plaza.
La Habana Vieja
La Habana Vieja is known as Old Havana. It is the city-center or
downtown. Old Havana is located in the natural harbor of the Bay of
Havana. La Habana Vieja is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Old Havana was
founded by the Spanish in 1519. It was built in baroque and neoclassic
style. There are many restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops in La Habana
