Location of Bulgaria
The repuplic of Bulgaria is located in southeastern Europe and
occupies a portion of the eastern Balkan Peninsula. The Balkan Mountains
run laterally through the middle of the country. Bulgaria is borders
with Romania in the north, Serbia and Macedonia in the west, Greece and
Turkey in the south. The country is washed by the Black sea in the east.
Sofia is a capital and largest city of Bulgaria. The country is a
member of the European Union.

may occur throughout the country from December to mid-March, especially
in the mountainous areas of Bulgaria. The warmest areas are in the
